More table decor...

Some table decor.
Mmm...candy apples...
Another picture of Geraldine's.

The place we hung out, ate, played games.

I need help from an experienced blogger!

Hi, ladies. I apologize, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to post our pictures to the blog! Argh! I've found a slideshow tool that will let us view one picture at a time, but I really want to add all the pictures, with captions, so you don't have to wait and go through each picture in the slideshow. If any of you are experienced bloggers and know how I can do this, will you please shoot an email to SeattleTwilightEvents@yahoo.com?

Thanks for your help!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all have a happy, safe Thanksgiving. :)

I received the CD of photos in the mail just a few minutes ago, but we're just getting ready to hit the road for the holiday, so I probably won't get them up until sometime on Saturday. Sorry about that!

A few of you have asked how you can donate more money to help offset the cost of last week's event, so I've added a "Donate Now" button at your request. Thank you so much to those who asked! Also, a big thank you to those who donated extra money or bought extra raffle tickets the night of the event. I greatly appreciated it!

Lastly, some of us would like to set up a casual get-together sometime in the near future. I'm curious whether people would like to do something in December or try for January, after the craziness of the holidays have subsided? Please leave me a comment in the section below and let me know your thoughts.

Ciao!

Pictures to be posted soon!

Hey, everyone. Be sure to check back next weekend for lots and lots of photos! My mom (the gorgeous lady you saw wielding a camera all night) is mailing me a CD of the photos on Monday, so I should get them by Wednesday. Since I'll be out of town for Thanksgiving, I will most likely get these posted to the site over the weekend. Thanks for your patience! :)

I'd like to ask that everyone send your email address to SeattleTwilightEvents@yahoo.com, so I can add you to our mailing list. This is our own private list and will not be given out or sold to ANYONE for ANY reason. Period. I do, however, want to send out a few mailings in the near future: 1) to inform you of when the photos are all up, 2) to give you information about a fun, informal gathering we're going to put together in the next month or two, and 3) to let you know our preliminary plans for the release of New Moon and to ask for party-planning volunteers. Additionally, if you won a prize at the party, please include what you won in the email that you send. I want to post pictures of the items along with the names of who won.

Dana, Yvette, and I had so much fun meeting you all. We all commented on how incredibly friendly everyone was, and how we are looking forward to getting to know you all better. Personally, this was a very special night for me, and I want to thank you all for coming and for making my night one I will never forget. It was amazing. :)

Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I had such a wonderful time meeting you all in person! What a fabulous group of ladies you are all! Seriously, I so enjoyed getting to know you all a bit. My only complaint was that I was so busy running around I didn't get the opportunity to chat with you more one-on-one.

I wanted to thank you all for attending last night, and I hope you had as much fun as I did. I'm sorry we didn't get to play some of the games we'd planned, but things were running behind schedule and there just wasn't time. My apologies for that.

For those who turned in their Car and Driver game sheets, I couldn't find the answer key last night, so I brought your answer sheets home and will grade those tonight or tomorrow. I'll post the winner on the blog and then email the winner to get your address and send you your price--a large metal diecast model of Bella's red Chevy truck.

I hope everyone enjoyed their candy apples, place mats, bookmarks, and rubber bracelets/or movie posters. We wanted to make sure everyone walked away with a few goodies... :)

My mom took an insane amount of pictures, and she's going to send those to me on CD. Once she does, I'll post those to the site here, so look for them in the next week or so.

I am curious to find out what everyone thought of the movie, so I'll be posting a poll up on the site in short order. Having seen the movie a few times now, I did want to mention to any that might have felt disappointed after the movie, try seeing it one more time. It has gotten better for me each time, as I've been able to view it more and more as its own stand-alone movie rather than a version of the book I know inside and out.

We are planning on putting together a few informal get-togethers over the next couple of months, including an outing to the zoo or aquarium (kids invited!). If you're interested in attending these, keep checking the blog for information.

Lastly, as I mentioned to many of you, we have bigger and better plans for New Moon when/if it gets made. Some of you told me you'd like to help out with that event. If that's still the case, please send me an email to SeattleTwilightEvents@yahoo.com, as we want to set up some planning committees to discuss ideas.

Thank you again for coming last night! I really, really enjoyed meeting you and hope to get the chance to spend more time with all of you.

See you all tonight!

I am looking forward to meeting you all tonight! :)

We still have a handful of openings for dinner, and a bunch of tickets left for the movie, so if you run into anyone today who would like to come, just have them show up and bring the required amount of cash (no checks, please!).

See you this evening!

Final pricing + paypal

Thank you, everyone, for your patience as pricing for dinner was being determined. :)

I was spot-on with my first estimate for dinner pricing, which includes tax plus gratuity. It will be $20 per person ($15 less than our original restaurant choice. Woot!). The restaurant prepares ALL of their food fresh, and when they are out of something, that's it. To ensure that everyone gets the entree they desire, my friend who owns the place would like to know ahead of time who wants what.

Please review the menu choices below and respond in the Comments field of this blog entry with your name and what you'd like. If there are others in your group, please pass along our blog address and ask them to respond with their menu choices as well. Conversely, you may get the menu choices of everyone in your group and send just one email to our SeattleTwilightEvents@yahoo.com email address.

Starters:
Green Salad:
A blend of romaine, iceberg, green leaf and arugula, tossed with dressing of choice. Tossed with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots.

Oven-Roasted Cream Of Tomato & Basil Soup

Entrees:
Seasonal Ravioli (pumpkin ravioli in sage butter sauce, no meat)

Vegetable Stirfry:
Vegetable Stir fry with risotto cake. Served with a roasted red pepper sauce.

All-Natural Burger: Hand formed, all-natural, third-pound flame-grilled burger, perched on an kaiser sesame bun and topped with Geraldine’s homemade Balsamic Onion Relish (may order this without the sauce)

Cobb Salad: Chicken, blue cheese, tomatoes hard boiled egg, avocado, bacon, chives, and greens tossed to order in our cool ranch dressing.

Corned Beef Sandwhich

Beverage: Soda, coffee, tea, milk (this choice can be made at the restaurant)

Thanks everyone!
